Warby Parker: Spectrum Sun Collection

On Tuesday 18th March, New York based eyewear company Warby Parker released their Spectrum Sun Collection. The collection features 9 new pieces, all retailing at $95USD/$120CAD on the Warby Parker website.

One thing I really love about this company, aside from super stylish eyewear, is the do good mantra. For every pair sold, Warby Parker and non-profit partners provide a pair to someone in need. Warby Parker is also one of the only carbon-neutral eyewear brands worldwide, which should definitely appeal to you environmentalists a bit! A do good company providing stylish eyewear at an affordable price.. What more could you want?

The collection features:

DOWNING: in Striped Sassafras
A quirky take on a classic silhouette

DEAN: in English Oak and Striped Olive
A classic go anywhere/wear with anything shape

HALL: in Cherry Blossom and Whiskey Tortoise
A stronger, rectangular shape in a unique pop of colour

MINNIE: in Eucalyptus and Striped Sassafras
An oversized round shape in colours perfect for day to day

PIPER: in Revolver Black and Woodland Tortoise
A classic silhouette meets subtle cat-eye for an everyday bold

My favourite from the collection would either be the Minnie in Striped Sassafras or Piper in Revolver Black. I really love the subtle cat-eye on the Piper and you know I love my black! With the Minnie, it is quite possibly one of my favourite silhouettes in sunglasses in terms of what looks good on my face shape, so this is one I would purchase in every colour!
But honourable mention to the Hall in Cherry Blossom; the pop of colour is too cute not to mention, and the perfect way to add some colour for the transition to Spring/Summer.

The collection is now available on the Warby Parker website. Feel free to leave me a comment down below letting me know your favourites from the collection, and if you pick a pair up tag me on instagram (@LBECHKOS17) so I can check em out :) xLB

I also just wanted to say, I was really fascinated with Warby Parkers Annual Report, which I found in a Forbes article here. From the business student in me, a lot of work was put into this and it shows. A very innovative way to present information that can often be boring and seemingly repetitive, Warby Parker makes it fun and interesting.

F21 Haul

I had actually nearly forgotten about this one! Around Boxing week time I had ordered a bunch of stuff from Forever 21. My family has a PO box in the states, so I get a lot of stuff delivered there so that I don't have to pay international shipping fees (hehehhehe) however this means I get stuff much later since I have to go home (err to my parents) instead of getting it delivered to my door. So I finally went home for a weekend to a lovely, massive box awaiting me!

The large box in all it's glory

I have to say; I'm O B S E S S E D with this sweater. It's super cute (I'm a massive Disney fan) and it's so so cozy! I'm getting my sister one for her birthday next month, so I'm defo ordering myself a Lion King one as well ;~) 19.80$

Another sweater I'm loving dearly; this one is a super cozy knit and is also ombre which I thought was so cool! 22.80$

And look at the colour descriptor on the tag.. can you say meant to be!?

I absolutely adored this sweater after seeing it online, it's very similar to a lot of wild fox's sweaters, so I thought it was a steal! It's also super cozy, it feels like a pyjama shirt! 17.80$

Unfortunately, as you can see a bit, quite a lot of pilling happened; and this was only after one wear :(

This shirt was sooo hard to photograph! haha. I liked this one a lot more online than I do in person, but I don't not like it enough to return it.. so I'm keeping it. It's a charcol/grey colour and the fabric is so soft and smooth and cool, it's really comfy! But it's super boxy and I hate the sleeves.. I'll work something out I'm sure ;~) 19.80$ Retail, 13.86$ Paid

I don't know if I'll be able to say this enough buuuut.. I LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE this shirt!! This is the epitome of my style and it just fit so perfectly, I'm just so pleased! I'm really into the flowy blouse type tops, but I love when they have little embellishments, like the gold studs on this shirt. 24.80$

Close up of the detailing on the sleeve, loooove the studs!!

Another blouse which is very much so my style. The picture doesn't do it justice! This is also my attempt at brightening up my wardrobe.. everything is rather.. black.. 17.80$

This skirt was kind of an impulse buy - I hadn't bought a skirt in so long, and it was so cheap I couldn't resist! I love the colour blocking to it, and also the mushroom pleats. Next, to find something to wear with it! 19.80$ Retail, 4.99$ Paid!!

Close up on the detailing

Next up is this dress; purchased partially due to the winter blues, but also because I actually used to only wear dresses, so since I haven't bought one in awhile I figured why not! I love it, it has a flap of fabric up top (can't think of a technical term.. oops!) which is super flattering. And the back dips a bit, which nice. I also quite like the colours to it, can't wait for some warmed weather to wear it! 22.80$ Retail, 5.49$ Paid

Next up, these earrings.. all I can say is I HATE how Forever 21's jewellery is all final sale.. grrrrr. As you can probably see, the left earring is significantly different than the right one. I am ridiculously into having everything symmetrical and even so this just isn't going to do for me. Also, like a lot of Forever 21's other earrings, the middle gem isn't actually the area that goes into your ear.. it's the part above it. I'm awful at explaining and never took a picture, like I should have (tsk!) but basically they just aren't centred in your ear and there's a massive portion dangling on the end. Long story short; NEVER buying Forever 21 jewellery online again, as I'm that dissatisfied! At least they didn't cost me much.. but STILL! 4.80$ Retail, 3.36$ Paid

Last but not least, an addition to my massive hair bow collection! The back one is a blue, and the front one fuchsia. I normally buy my bows from American Apparel, so I can't wait to try these out and see how they compare as they are significantly cheaper, yet still the same size/bigger! 1.80$ each

(Posted this from my phone so I hope it works EEP)

Christmas Wish list 2012

Hi beauty bunnies!
Seeing as Christmas is only E LE V E N days away I guess this is a bit of a belated post, but I've really been in the Christmas spirit since learning I get to go home for more of the holiday break than I intended on (YAY!!) and I have a massive list of things on my purchase list, I figured I would do a christmas wish list for 2012!

Stila Convertible Colour in Peony (33$ CAD)
I've been hearing wonderful things about this product for the longest time, and peonies just happen to be my absolute favourite flower, and the shade looked great so I took it as a sign to be meant to be! So this one is definitely at the top of my wanted list. It's a lipstick and blush in one that comes in 7 gorgeous colours. Peony is a muted nude-pink-brown colour. Gorgeous! I've heard it's highly pigmented, so I'm excited to try it out on my own. Hopefully you'll see a review in the new year!

Trilogy - The Weeknd (12.99$ CAD)
I've been meaning to buy this for SO long but never got round to it, so I hope Santa adds it to my stocking this year ;)

Kate Spade iPhone 4 Wristlet (70$)
I've wanted a wristlet/wallet/clutch type iPhone case for the longest time. I was looking into the Michael Kors ones  for the longest time but wasn't sold on a model/colour. Then I stumbled upon the Kate Spade ones and found exactly what I was looking for! This one is a gorgeous black patent and has a super cute striped interior. I also love the detachable strap feature and the embossed pattern on the front flap, lovely! Kate Spade always has the cutest and quirkiest tech accessories, I'd definitely recommend checking them out!

Juicy Couture WWF Necklaces (78$)
These necklaces are absolutely ADORABLE and stood out to me when Juicy posted them on their Facebook page. A little pricey for borderline costume jewellery, imo, however they do benefit a great cause, the World Wildlife Foundation, so I feel a bit better shelling out the money! The turtle one stood out to me first, it's gorgeous; look at those colours! And tigers are one of my favourite animals, so I had to add it as well! So cute, such a great cause!

Neiman Marcus/Target Collab - Carolina Herrera Travel Bags (39.99$ USD)
There wasn't a lot from this collaboration that I thought WOW I have to have! There were a few things, but some I just couldn't justify the prices on them. These stood out to me. After seeing them online I went to check them out in store and feel even more in love! The prints are way too cute (and also come in a matching stationary set). The interior of them is quite nice at all, and they don't feel the slightest bit 'cheap' which I was worried about. And there is some great detailing on these, like the ribbons and the zippers. Definitely going to have to pick these up! There's a lot from this collection I'll be grabbing if it hits sale/clearance. Overall, too cute!
Origins Super Spot Remover (13$ CAD)
I've read so many wonderful reviews on this product, so I'm just itching to try it! If it weren't for Christmas being so soon I'd be buying it next pay check! However, I shall wait.. It is pricey for such a small bottle, but it's one of those things where a little goes a long way, so it could last years.

Make Up For Ever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette (43$ CAD)
Again, another product I've great reviews on. A lot of people have constantly been going back to this concealer set, despite trying plenty of others, which I quite like. I opted for No 1 instead of No 2 which I probably should be, because I feel I'd get more use out of the green than the purple, that's what it came down to for me. I'm really excited for this one, again, hopefully a review in the new year!

NARS blush in Orgasm (32$)
Now a question I've been wondering for quite some time now is.. HOW DO I NOT HAVE THIS ALREADY? I've sampled it a billion times, I love the colour, and it's pretty much a staple in anyone's makeup collection. I guess I've just never gotten round to buying it for some particularly odd reason, but nevertheless, hopefully come christmas 2012 it will be mine, at long last!

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle (29$ USD)
Another product I've heard many wonderful reviews on. The mineralize products are all so beautiful too, I love the swirls in them.

Fossil Stella Resin Watch - Tort with Gold Tone (105$ CAD)
I have been lusting after this watch for quite some time now. I'm huge on watches; I wear one everyday. That being said, I have a really nice silver toned watch, but I don't have a nice gold toned watch yet (I like my watches to match the rest of my outfit/jewellery's hardware). That being said, I like how it's fairly neutral, so great for everyday wear.
That about sums up my most wanted list! I'll likely end up purchasing majority of these myself from christmas/christmas pay money. Because they are all things I've wanted for quite some time and feel necessary to my collection! Anyway, hope you all get exactly what you want and have a lovely time with your loved ones this holiday season!
