Masks and Treatments

Along with my regular skincare routine, I love incorporating masks and treatments into my regimen. I typically do a face mask at least once a week. These are some of my favourite face masks, whether it be for hydrating dry spots, dealing with hyper pigmentation and acne scars, or calming breakouts.
  • Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips: These are a staple in my beauty regimen. I always have them on hand. There's something so satisfying about seeing all the gunk that has just come off of your face.. These are also great because they're available almost everywhere for very cheap!
  • LUSH Fresh Face Masks: These are another staple. They all suit different skin types and conditions, so there's a different one for everyone. However, some of my favourites are: Brazened Honey, Cosmetic Warrior (smells disgusting but it works), Catastrophe Cosmetic and of course Cupcake. I store these in the freezer so they last even longer!
  • Sephora Collection Face Mask: I love these paper masks, they're so fun to take selfies in! But like the LUSH ones, they also have different ones for different purpose. My favourites are: Green Tea, Pearl, and Rose.
  • REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask: I love this mask because it makes my skin more radiant and clear. It's good for acne scarring and blemishes and evening skin tone.
  • GLAMGLOW Youthmud Tinglexfoliant Treatment: This one is probably the most pricey on my list, but definitely worth it in my opinion. This is one of few products where I've noticed a difference immediately after using it. My skin feels fresher and newer and I will continue to repurchase but use sparingly!
  • Josie Maran Argan Oil: I love this because it's so multifunctional. I'm sure you've heard many people preach their love for it, so I won't blab on too much and just say it's definitely a staple and I recommend everyone to own it.
  • Origins Super Spot Remover: This treatment is all around the beauty community, and the name speaks for itself. If I see a spot, I put this treatment on it before bed and after my skincare routine, and it aids in drying out the spot. It is fairly drying, which is why I wouldn't recommend it daily, but it gets the trick done.
If you've tried any of these masks or treatments, or have any to recommend, send me an email (glalamorous@gmail.com), a tweet (@LBechkos17/@glalamorous) or a comment!

Ipsy Bag -- January 2013

Just hours ago I received my much anticipated January Ipsy bag, and I have to say, this is one of Ipsy's best yet!

Nothing beats seeing the gorgeous hot pink packaging in the post!

This month's bag's theme - Super Stars

A peak at the inside

I was a little disappointed in the bag until I saw the super cute interior!

The contents of this month's bag..

  1. Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter -- this has to be the star of this bag for me, believe it or not. I just can't get over the scent. It smells delicious! And I much prefer the thickness of body butters to body lotions, especially in the winter, so this is wonderful. In love! This size retails on the Pacifica website for 7$
  2. BigSexyHair Volumizing Hair Spray -- I've been wanting to try this for the longest time, but haven't been able to justify spending that much money on hair spray since I seldom use it, so I was beyond excited to see this guy in my bag! It's a travel size, which is awesome, just enough for me! The full size retails for ~20$ depending on where you go.
  3. Nailtini Nail Laquer in Bloody Mary -- This is the one item in this bag I was unsatisfied. It's probably just because I'm a total Nail Varnish snob, but I don't like being given nail polish in the slightest. Think about it.. how many reds can one person own? I really didn't need another.. I don't mind when they give more unique polishes, like the nailtini glitter from Novembers bag. This one for me was a no-no and I'll likely be giving it away. On the plus side, it was again a full size, which retails for 13$ on the Nailtini website.
  4. Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil -- Another product I was absolutely thrilled about! I've been looking to try Argan Oil for the longest time, but again, being on a student budget I haven't quite been ready to splurge on it, so this was perfect! I've used it so far on my hair and I love it! My hair absorbed it really well and now feels so much more hydrated, and the shine is noticeable. The full size retails for 48$ on the Josie Maran website.
  5. SOHO Concealer Brush -- This one you either got an eyeliner, crease or concealer brush. I'm content with mine since I have plenty of eyeliner and crease brushes already, so this was lovely. I like how dense the brush is, it's super full and also has an ergonomic handle, to make application the best possible. This brush retails for 7.99$ on the SOHO website.

A closer (but low quality oops!) picture of the brush

For a grand total of 14.95$ paid and 38.99$ worth in products, this months Ipsy bag was definitely worth it! I'm so excited to continue with my Ipsy bags, they've definitely become my favourite beauty subscription. Below is an approximate breakdown of pricing on each product..
  1. Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter - 7$
  2. BigSexyHair Volumizing Hair Spray - 5$
  3. Nailtini Nail Laquer in Bloody Mary - 13$
  4. Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil - 6$
  5. SOHO Concealer Brush - 7.99$
