Weekend Away + The Works for Dinner!

So awhile back I went for a little weekend away which included some roses, selfies with my dog, dinner and a facial (which I couldn't take pictures of for obvious reasons..) followed by The Works (one of my fav restaurants) for dinner with my family once I returned home :)

Amuse Bouche - Beet with Goat Cheese and a Beet Chip

Starter - Caprese salad with blond frise and basil ice cream

Sorbet - Buttermilk

Pasta with Rose Sauce, Vegetables and Cheese

Dinner Cocktail - Something chocolatey and delicious!

Pineapple Tea

Normally I like to do this recipe with white tea, however being in the midst of moving (yes, again, the second time in 4 months..) majority of my tea is packed and white tea isn't the easiest thing to find in a small town. This still tastes delicious, and I would definitely make it again!

INGREDIENTS:

• Tea
• Pineapple
• Water

It's hard to give specific amounts on this as it's really up to preference.

DIRECTIONS:

• Boil a large pot of hot water
• Grab a large pitcher, and prepare for the tea
• I used 10 tea bags; they were green tea with passionfruit and jasmine flavour
• If you like your tea sweetened a bit, now is the time to add sugar or sweetener
• Pour the boiled water in 1/3 of the way of the pitcher
• Let this steep overnight
• Puree/liquify 1 pineapple until it is in juice formation; helps to blend them with a bit of water in order to thin it out a bit
• Add the fresh pineapple juice to the pitcher
• Top the pitcher off with cool water and ice, and enjoy!

Mini Haul: Tea, Sephora & Topshop

Hello hello hello! I hope you're all doing well :) sorry I've been quite absent, again, it's just so hard with school finishing up to find time for all the little things; reading, blogging, shopping.. etc. But I managed to make an exception and go shopping with my best friends at one of the most lavish malls our country has to offer. Mind you, I was only able to lust after the gorgeous Louis V, Mulberry and Prada bags and made some very typical purchases instead. With that, here is a little bit of what I got :)

The loot! From David's Tea, Sephora and Topshop

Tea! As you may or may not know, I am an avid tea drinker! I normally go for really fruity types of tea (greens and whites are my favourites) but since I don't have a david's tea in close proximity to me, I like to grab the ones that are more exclusive to David's than the ones I can find a Teavana, etc. So I got Birthday Cake and Red Velvet Cake :~)

Nars Blush in Super Orgasm: I have the full size in Orgasm and I love it to pieces, so I'm excited to try this peachier version of the cult classic, perfect for summer! 

Philosophy's Purity Cleanser: this is one of my all time favourite cleansers, I can always just feel the grossness just melting off when I wash my face. And I love the texture and scent of it as well. Always a constant repurchase for me.

Tarte's Amazonian Clay Double Detox Mask; I was given a sample of this mask and I'm so excited to try it! As you probably know, I looooove my face masks! 

Nails Inc. Feathers polish in York; It's not a trip to Sephora without buying a nail polish.. I've been dying to try this out, so I'm super excited! Full review after I've had it on long enough! Love this colour though, again, super excited!

Sephora Creamy Body Wash in Peony; It came in peony.. enough said. 

Topshop lipstick in Charmed; Somehow managed to come out of Topshop with only a lipstick.. it wasn't a very satisfying visit.. however I'm dying for some spring colours so I'm excited for this coral-y orange!

School will be finished for me in 2 weeks, then back to me going into crazy blogger mode, and you all getting sick of me ;~) thanks for bearing with me! Soon!

Weekend Update!

Hey alllll, sorry for my absence, with school finishing up everything is craaaazy! Being full-time in school while working three jobs and trying to maintain a bit of a social life with my school friends before we all have to say our goodbyes is proving to be quite the challenge. Unfortunately, resulting in my blogs going on the back burner. But think - when April comes along you'll probably get sick of me :~)

So here is a quick little weekend update :) tomorrow I'm off to toronto's fashion week which I'm beyond excited for!
